COVID-19 & Beyond — Innovation For Social Good Challenge

Intervention and creativity are needed to curb the social costs of the COVID-19 outbreak. The COVID-19 & Beyond — Innovation For Social Good Challenge gives professionals, startups, and SMEs across the world an opportunity to tackle the biggest social challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Participants tackle one or more of these challenges:
- Neighborhood Communities
- Migrant Workers Access
- Food Rescue
- Supply Chain Resources
- Workforce Optimisation
- Community Engagement
Finalists team can gain access to business and tech mentors, design thinking consultants as well as prototyping equipment and usability testing lab in IMDA’s Singapore innovation facility, PIXEL. Finalists for each challenge will receive SGD 4,500 to kickstart prototype development. Final winners will be contacted directly by problem statement owners to receive further awards of SGD 10,500.

To transform society, we must address the root and underlying issues causing problems. Systems Change 101 is a 7-week live social change empowerment course that will develop your capacity for positive change-making. You will learn how to apply your existing skills, passions, and current life circumstance to affect real change in the world.
The course is presented by Erfan Daliri, an author, poet, social change trainer, and consultant with a Masters in Communication for Social Change.
Whether you are working in the service provision sector, social enterprise, advocacy, activism, or grassroots community change, this program will give you the ability to maximize the impact of your efforts.
The course includes:
- 7 x weekly 75min live video calls with Q&A (every Tuesday)
- One-on-One mentorship and tutoring from Erfan
- Course readings and supporting video content
- Worksheets with study guide provided

Microsoft Global Social Entrepreneurship
Bring your big vision to life! Microsoft Global Entrepreneurship Programs support social impact startups with technology, connections, and grants. Favoring enterprise technology or B2B startups who can best serve Microsoft’s customer base, the program is open to startups that have existed for less than seven years, earn less than $25M in total annual revenue, and are Seed, Series, A, B, or C Stage.
Program participants are eligible for:
- Grants (for ventures innovating in skills development, sustainability and accessibility.)
- Connections with large commercial, public sector, NGOs, as well as other startups in the social impact space
- Access to Microsoft technologies, including Azure cloud and GitHub Enterprise
- Go-To-Market resources to help startups sell alongside Microsoft’s global sales team and partner channel
